Fried Rice - Arroz Colorido

Fried Rice
Fried Rice (Arroz Colorido in Portuguese) is a common staple in American Chinese cuisine, especially in the form sold as fast food, and is most commonly made from steamed rice stir-fried in a wok, with other ingredients, such as eggs, vegetables, and meat.

Portion: 6 persons
- 1 and 1/2 cups of long-grain rice;
- 1 cup of carrots (diced or grated);
- 1 cup of green beans (diced);
- 100g of ham (diced or sliced);
- 2 eggs (whisked);
- 1 tablespoon of oil;
- Salt and pepper as desired;

Prepare the ingredients: cut the carrots, bean pods and ham in small pieces, and whisk the eggs with a bit of salt. Start cooking the white rice in a separate pot.
Heat the frying pan (or wok) with oil and fry the eggs, mixing so they get scrambled in small pieces.
Add each other ingredient (carrots, green beans, ham) mixing well and making sure it gets cooked. Finally, mix the rice.

Replace the ham with bacon for some extra flavor;
Serve as a side dish for Asian saucy dishes like Chicken Curry;
